INCIDE, the brain of the surfboard
INCIDE is actually a mini surfboard positioned inside the blank made of foam. It serves as the brain of the surfboard and obliterates the need for a stringer inside the blank. The stringers that were made of wood previously were rendering surfboards much less responsive and under performing. But by using INCIDE, the company has made sure that even if there is any loss or damage to the foam exterior, the performance and the flex pattern of the board remains more or less unchanged.

US Blanks still makes use of polyurethane to make PU blanks for its customers but the shortage of this foam and strict regulations imposed by the authorities forced the company to introduce EPS blanks. Also referred to as open cell foam, EPS foam is not water resistant. The epoxy coatings make these blanks virtually indestructible. Finally, US Blanks is manufacturing XTR blanks or Extruded Foam Surfboard blanks. These are made using closed cell foam that is water repellent, thereby rendering these blanks great strength.
